This sounds like a great workshop. I think people who have never had a blog can feel intimidated by the process, but as your description points out, it really does only take a few minutes to set one up. Then you just add a few minutes a day to work on the content of your blog, and pretty soon you’ve got an interesting site for potential employers to visit.
I have seen people use the “pages” function on Blogger to create some professional resumes and portfolios, and WordPress likewise offers some nice-looking templates. Blogs have evolved to a place where you can set up nice “static” pages as well as pages with changing/evolving content.
I like the emphasis on empowerment here, too!
Mandy you hit the nail on the head. The upcoming workshop will demystify setting up a blog and then showing how valuable it can be used in the job market. Thanks for your comment.
